I Am Martin (Who Am I?)

Who Am I?

A young man who wants to bring change in the state of Georgia,

Who is also a motivator,

And a great speaker,

Who does whatever it takes to bring peace and change in the whole world.

Who Am I?

If I were the king,

I would bring the people to march with me in the city of Washington, D.C.,

To recite the speech “I Have A Dream.”

Who Am I?

A man doesn’t takes no for an answer,

Who has the willingness and destiny for greatness,

Who is so gracious for anything else in this world.

Who Am I?

As A Pastor,

A Fearless Leader,

Who Led the March over the bridge to Selma.

Who Am I?

My Name Is Martin Luther King, Junior.

During a game at the National Football League,

The football players was not standing as much,

But eventually it was such a shame that many fans just feel so disgusted,

I didn’t expect a person who wants to take a knee.

The Take A Knee movement that started with football quarterback,

Lead to a nationwide protest from live broadcast games across the globe,

But one football quarterback from the San Francisco 49ers,

His name was Colin Kaepernick.

A man who just wanted to change the status quo,

Just decided he wanted to try something new in his state of mind,

But just doing whatever he wants to do to take a knee during the Star Spangled Banner,

But I’m afraid that this stint didn’t sit to well for the President Of the United States Of America.

With a war of words against the NFL and NBA,

President Trump then too wanted to start a statewide political Alabama rally,

Starting making his pitch,

As he call out Colin Kaepernick a “son of a bitch”.

But why does everything else have to do with the president,

When this has absolutely nothing to do with him,

Out of all of the devastation that is happening in the world that we live in,

This topic about professional athletes taking a knee, that’s what irritates you the most.

As I stumble upon a train,

When I enter on an 8th Avenue local stop,

I see some upcoming dancers introducing themselves,

As they started to perform straight to the top.

Doing tricks and flips like I’ve never ever seen,

It became a social media phenomenon,

As I scroll upon my Instagram,

As these dancers came and show their stuff.

Many dancers were moving to the body,

To the music that they were shaking to,

No distraction from them other train passengers,

Listening to the sound of wherever the music was playing from.

They Started to get warm up,

Get ready to burn up,

When they turn up the sound to their speakers,

They made some room to make some clear space.

One, Two, Three all eyes are on them,

Many of the moves that I see,

They already practice for themselves,

As They listen to the sound of the rhythm.

I wish that the hashtag topic #SubwayDancers will always be trending worldwide,

As many subway dancers could also become great celebrity dancers one day,

As for someone who will entertain young children in making sure the moves are always straight to perfection,

But that they will always look forward in their right direction.

How much do you love me,

More than I can ever know,

To put flowers on you like a crown,

As If you were sitting on the throne.
What makes you so beautiful,

Despite all the boys being so pitiful to you,

Don’t let them hate or throw shades at you,

Just because you look so beautiful even more than they do.
But is how much you love the person right next to you,

Deep inside your heart,

Right from the very start,

How to find the person you even meet in one day can even be your best friend till the very end.
Who do I love is my mother,

She will always take good care of me,

Unlike any other person that I have ever seen,

That can even be put in an iPad screen.
How much do you love your family,

All the above,

Especially for my Mom, My Sisters,

My Brother and I,

Will one day reach for the stars

oh so high.
That’s how much,

I can tell,

That makes me feel so well,

That’s all I ever wanted was love and connection,

But what’s love got to do with it,

When you are standing with the person right in front of you.
As you look into her very eyes,

With every single step you took,

As She says “I love you”,

You love them back,

But the question is,

“How much do you really love me?”,

Right back at ya.

I See Many People,
On the bus,
As it gets too crowded,
Who wants to excuse you?

Or you are just trying to get pass,
Like there’s no way out of here,
As you walk out of that door,
It’s like if some people,
Just don’t even hear you anymore.
