Stop The Violence

Don’t snuff out my light,

Before it has a chance to shine bright.

Beat the Odds,

Not your child,

Girl or boy friend,

To be your own partner.

Violence Is,

Not an Option,

Non-Violence is just a lifestyle.

I want to hear laughter,

Not gunfire,

Put Play back in Playgrounds,

Cruel WORDS can hurt too as well.

Hit the Lottery,

Not a child,

Reach for a Peaceful Resolution,

Not a Weapon.

Let My Life Be Elevated,

Not Eradicated,

I want to THRIVE in my neighborhood,

Not just SURVIVE in my neighborhood.

Let my parents plan my life,

Not my funeral,

As a young adult,

Cry at my Graduation,

Cry at my Prom,

Cry at my Wedding,

Just don’t cry at my funeral.

It’s a beautiful sunny day,

To start on a fabulous Sunday,

Where in the heart of Harlem,

Lies what’s in beneath the center of a local school located in 122nd Street,

Between Lenox Avenue & Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd.

The old church between 130th & 131st Street,

Gets destroyed by a bomb cyclone,

But I guess the storm wouldn’t leave the building alone,

It just left danger and destruction inside along with it.

Where there are no rules allowed,

Only just to love and praise for the person who created you to become,

I guess there is no one else greater,

Then the one and only Jesus Christ our Lord and savior.

Where the congregation of people,

From all ages above,

Who styles in their fabulous but gorgeous good looking clothes,

Who loves the Lord for who he is in the Holy Bible.

From bible verses for which they will start to scroll,

As they start to sing all day long,

They gives their tithes unto the Lord,

For which is better to give than to receive ten percent for what all you guys really earned.

This named of this church has been known all around the world,

So that Pastors can preach to the people of the congregation of God’s word,

From scriptures of the bible to let their voices be heard,

They wouldn’t known if it witness it’s power unto the Lord.

This is the church that I love so very much,

As it show so much diversity within the community,

It doesn’t matter where you are or what you are coming from,

But just to let them know that this church home is where You will always Belong.

What ever happen to the public figures we love so much,

That they will stoop to this low in doing horrific and pathetic things,

Who would start by harassing the women not only in the workplace,

As the women who were victimized can get them some space.

Let’s start with Bill Cosby

A Television Public Figure,

Who was beloved by so many

Now accused of sexually harassing 50 women,

The women who want to see them in court,

As they have the courage to speak out,

Who cannot be trusted by him no matter what.

Public Figures, News Figures & Comedian Figures alike,

Who committed these crimes just like in an act of sin,

But hate in this world will never win,

Unlike the ones of that for Mr. Harvey Weinstein.

Charlie Rose total of Eight

Matt Lauer total of Six

Louis C.K. total of Five

Kevin Spacey total of Two

The list goes on and on as it will never stop coming,

The social media movement hashtag #MeToo sheds a light on this subject matter,

Now many Women are speaking and winning,

While the men are vulnerable to their actions and are still suffering the consequences.

Verse One:
If I became the boss,

I would start my own company,

Start hiring more employees,

So we can make a lot of money.
If I became the boss,

I will make a change and a difference,

Building better schools,

And eliminating ignorance.
If I became the boss,

I would take a stand for justice,

To take care of my own community,

To make it cleaner and stop the roughness.
No more drive by’s and shoot outs,

No more gangs and guns,

Because we all share the love,

See look how far we’ve become!
Those who hate will drown,

Not in their sorrow but in our glory,

But that’s a whole another story,

We know we aren’t fronting,

We know they aren’t getting nothing,

Because we all made it into something.
My name is Ryan Ngala,

My rhyme is the best,

I got all these flow’s written down on my chest,

As I’m sitting on the throne,

Because I’m representing the Harlem Children’s Zone.

Verse Two:
Them fly rich girls will be stunting,

With their shades on, and their legs so long,

They are always stacking their paper,

While jamming out to their favorite song.
All my fly guys will be winning,

With their tailored suits, and african roots,

Keeping it trill,

Cause they know God will.
My Mom doesn’t get stressed out,

My Mom will always teach me how to save up,

Because she will always know that,

We know what’s up.
This is for all the fly ladies & the fellas,

That I represent for C.S.O, E.T.C, Human Resources,

And all of the other HCZ after school sites above us all,

Starting with the flyest students & the staff members,

Who are also here in the building as well.
We them fly HCZ hustlers,

Who will always be,

Getting to the money,

Always straight stunting,

Best believe me when I say this,

We gotta stay hustling,

You already know.
It’s a glorious morning,

In the city of New York/

People came to look for a job,

Some place they can work.
I live in the big apple,

Where there are great things in motion/

Everywhere you turn there is an,

Opportunity waiting for you/

With it’s arms wide open.

Verse Three:
Where so many celebrities,

Get a chance to meet and greet,

They get a chance to have an autograph being sign for me,

Now that’s very sweet.
Strike a pose for the picture,

It has never been more clearer,

Painting a picture so vivid,

As my dreams gets nearer and nearer.
As I’m getting my paper,

By getting certified big checks,

Every fifth of the week/

Because Harlem Children’s Zone Is,

Where you work and don’t sleep.
I climb to the top,

But I will never ever stop,

To far reach out my destination,

During the world’s most population.
Many Harlem Children’s Zone Students graduated,

To The Top Of Their Class,

Having all the haters,

Looking at them so funny,

Wishing that they have all their hard earned money.
As the students, reach to their full potential,

And hopefully one day they will become truly successful,

There’s no doubt about it, because the sky is the limit,

Just to let them know if they are in it to win it.

As I stumble upon a train,

When I enter on an 8th Avenue local stop,

I see some upcoming dancers introducing themselves,

As they started to perform straight to the top.

Doing tricks and flips like I’ve never ever seen,

It became a social media phenomenon,

As I scroll upon my Instagram,

As these dancers came and show their stuff.

Many dancers were moving to the body,

To the music that they were shaking to,

No distraction from them other train passengers,

Listening to the sound of wherever the music was playing from.

They Started to get warm up,

Get ready to burn up,

When they turn up the sound to their speakers,

They made some room to make some clear space.

One, Two, Three all eyes are on them,

Many of the moves that I see,

They already practice for themselves,

As They listen to the sound of the rhythm.

I wish that the hashtag topic #SubwayDancers will always be trending worldwide,

As many subway dancers could also become great celebrity dancers one day,

As for someone who will entertain young children in making sure the moves are always straight to perfection,

But that they will always look forward in their right direction.

My brother is one of the coolest person,

That I consider him to become as my number one helper,

Who will always want to work hard,

And maybe one day he’s going to go far.

And will always want to do better in school,

Not to stare into space,

Acting like a fool,

Unlike he use to.

My Mom will always pushed him,

To tried his very hardest to succeed,

As he always goes to class,

And be on time just to learn & read.

Whatever obstacle or path he choose,

At least he ain’t got nothing else to lose,

At least we are the ones who’s going to become far,

Because he shines just like the brightest star.

He is always so active,

And who always considers to play basketball,

With his school buddies,

But also decides to follow his own footsteps,

In any obstacle path that he choose from now on.
